Shallow Water Creatures (0–100m)
Found in the Safe Shallows and nearby kelp forests. Most are harmless or easy to avoid.

Deep Sea Creatures (300m+)
The deep ocean is home to the most dangerous creatures. Prepare your vehicles and equipment before venturing down.
Crabsquid

- Disables electronics with EMP. Avoid using lights near them.
Ampeel
Aggressive- Biome

- Generates electric fields. Keep distance if in a Seamoth.
Warp Leviathan
Aggressive- Biome
- Abyssal Zones, Lava Caves

- New leviathan class. Teleports prey. Avoid at all costs.
Danger Zone: Leviathan-class creatures cannot be killed with conventional weapons. Your best strategy is avoidance. Use vehicles for speed and hull protection.
Creature Survival Tips
- Passive creatures won't attack but will flee. Approach slowly for scanning
- Defensive creatures attack only when provoked. Keep your distance
- Aggressive creatures hunt on sight. Use Seaglide to escape quickly
- Leviathan-class — always avoid. No weapon in the game can kill them
- Repulsion Cannon works on most medium-sized creatures for emergency escapes
- Stasis Rifle can freeze most creatures temporarily — including Leviathans
